Braai Burgers – Wrapped in Bacon and onions

– Large Onions
– Mince
– Chopped fresh Parsley
– Bacon
– Cheese
– Salt and Pepper for taste


– Slice the onions in half (length ways)
– Remove the large halves
– Chop the onions
– Fry the onions till golden brown
– Add to the mince and allow to cool
– Add the parsley, pepper and salt
– Divide mix into balls
– Flatten each ball on a piece of cellophane
– Add chunks of cheese and fold the mix
– Roll each into a ball and wrap in the onion piece
– Wrap each with bacon and skewer with toothpicks to keep it in place

Braai Time

– This one is for a kettle braai
– Braai on indirect heat, with the lid on
– Leave on for 40 minutes

Remove and tuck in
